Geography of NJ

New Jersey is located at the East Coast of the United States, or if it's easier for you to understand, New Jersey is a state next to the state of New York. Actually, New Jersey is surrounded by Atlantic Ocean on east, Pennsylvania on west, Delaware Bay on south, and New York on north.
New Jersey is the 4th smallest state following Rhode Island, Delaware, and Connecticut. Or I should say New Jersey is the 47th largest state following... (I will not mention 46 states here).
Trenton is the capital of New Jewsey and it is located beside the Delware river, so you can see Pennsylvania over the river. Trenton is one of two state capitals that border another state, (the other is Carson City, Nevada). Even though Trenton is the capital of New Jersey, it has only about 80,000 people ranked the 9th biggest city in New Jersey.
In cotrast, Newark is the biggest city with more than 250,000 people because of its convenient location close to New York (approximately 8 miles west of Manhattan).
